Salvaged leather Airtag holder

An Airtag holder from salvaged leather.

My son has a late 90s Jeep Cherokee (XJ) with a pretty rare leather interior option. Problem was, after 25+ years, his front seats were looking pretty tragic. So new leather upholstery for the Jeep was a Christmas present and on an unseasonably warm January day we put it in.

As I looked at all the now-discarded leather, it occurred to me that surely I could salvage some of it and make something for him. So I did.

Step one was cutting any usable leather from the old seats. This took awhile.

And eventually I had a wrist strap and airtag holder keychain made from the old leather, backed with some new green leather to match the exterior of the Jeep.

My stitching was terrible on this early project, but it was still appreciated.
